Welcome back to Beason. I want to thank the state appointed company for filling in some of the potholes here on Beason. I don't want to seem ungrateful or anything, but, it wasn't really enough to last very long. Perhaps, we could put our request in for pavement or just that chip-n-tar stuff? After all, we have done without any serious road maintenance for a very long time. Beason residents deserve better than that. However, we do appreciate your efforts thus far.

Congratulations go out to Bryan and Erica Backus on their new addition to their family. We wish you all much happiness. Welcome to Ritchie County little Mr. Larryn Backus!

We need to send a big GET WELL wish to Mrs. Wells in Marietta Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Wells is a second grade teacher at Creed Collins Elementary School. Both of my boys had her as a teacher and I am so glad. The kids really get off to a good start with her as a teacher. Thank you again Mrs. Wells for teaching with such enthusiasm and with your heart. We appreciate you so much.

I would like to give a shout out to Patty Cox. Thank you so much for reading my little article and coming to visit. I hope to see you again soon.

The Myrtle Beach Weekend went very well. We left really late so the kids would be asleep for most of the trip. That's going to be a rule from now on. It was so nice to hear the sound of silence. Wow. What a change of pace. I originally thought that since they would be asleep, I would sleep also. That was not the case. I was wide awake nearly the whole trip down. Why do I deserve that punishment? The first opportunity I get to sleep during a long car trip and I am wide awake. There is something definitely wrong with that picture. So unfair. The beach was beautiful. The weather was perfect (a 10 minute shower here and there). The only complaint I had was the shells were overwhelming. They were ankle deep and in little sharp pieces. Ouch. I don't know if it had been storming off the coast and washed them toward the beach. I don't know but there were tons of shells.

Unfortunately, we didn't find any worth collecting. We would've forgotten about them anyway. We wouldn't have missed them until the car started smelling weird. It's like when Avery drops chicken nuggets in the car and forgets about them. You never know it happened until the car starts getting a scary smell to it. The funding for this weekend was very limited, but, we had a good time with some good friends. We all deserved a little break from reality.

It's been a guessing game about when to cut hay and do whatever one does after that step. I don't get involved so I don't know the proper procedure. I do know rain causes major issues and messes up the hay "schedule." That is the extent of my knowledge on the subject. It's not that I am too lazy to get involved, it's because my allergies will be beyond horrible. I would set a new world record in the amount of Kleenex boxes being used. So, I thought I would save everyone from my allergy drama.

My family will be having a yard sale on July 1-3. We have too much stuff or our house is shrinking. I thought it might be the former, so, time for a sale. Exact time and location will be announced at a later date.

If you haven't picked up your Side FX CD or tee yet, let me know. I can hook you up with some. Support the artists of West Virginia!

Peace.
