| Mabel King, 79 of Lower Nicut, Calhoun County, WV, passed away at her home Friday June 11, 2010 surrounded by family.
Mable was born on June 18, 1930 in Clay County, the daughter of the late Grover Weldon and Nora Jane Dickey.
Mabel spent her time sewing quilts and doing work for God. She was a member of Fairview Freewill Memorial Church on Lower Nicut.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Delbert Lee King, three daughters: Darlene White and husband Cary of Leroy, Audra Marks and husband Ed, Sherry Patterson and husband Glenn all of Lower Nicut. She had seven grandchildren: Sean White, Kim Riggs, Cathy Craddock, Mike Marks, Donna Schoolcraft, Mitchell and Miranda Patterson. She had nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Grover Weldon and Nora Jane Dickey, three brothers: Herbert, Willy, and Ray, one sister Tressy McCoy, one half-brother Cicle Dickey and one half-sister Ona McCumbers.
Funeral services were held at Stump Funeral Home, Arnoldsburg on Sunday, June 13, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Tom Law officiated. Interment was in Orma UMC Cemetery.
