SCHOOL BOARD WILL DEAL WITH TECHNOLOGY ISSUES

The Calhoun Board of Education will meet Monday at 6 p.m. at Mt. Zion. Sharon Pitts will give a report on cell phones and electronic devices, and there will be a technology presentation by Carla Taylor and Bonnie Sands. Cynthia Dale will report on board presentations and Danielle Stevens will discuss band boosters. The board will discuss two policies out for comment, including a grading policy. The board will approve the resignations of Curtis Garretson as Assistant Middle-School Football Coach, Kevin Cunningham as Head Middle-School Football Coach, and Bridgette Bowen Harper as Band Director, among others. The board will approve the retirements of Barbara Jones and Deborah Cunningham. The board is seeking to hire a Director of Support Services. The next scheduled meeting is July 6 at 6:00 p.m.
