HERE COMES THE 681 AREA CODE

West Virginia phone systems have used up the 304 area code. In the weeks and months to come, you'll be seeing more and more 681 area codes popping up, maybe even your next door neighbor. The 681 code is now being issued to new customers. Roughly about 24,000 681 numbers have been made available and several thousand are already in use. The change could be a little tricky because customers are used to dialing 304.
