Ronald D. Johnson, 71, formerly of Elizabeth, West Virginia, passed away June 3, 2010. He was born October 7, 1938 the son of the late James and Minnie (West) Johnson. He served in the United States Army, and was a self employed construction worker for several years. He enjoyed making crafts, hunting and fishing. He is survived by his wife, Wanda Johnson of Parkersburg WV; 1 brother, James Johnson of Elizabeth; 1 sister, Ruth Long of Huston TX; 1 aunt, Roberta Bosley of Parkersburg WV; 4 nieces and 4 nephews; several great nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 1 brother, Fred Morningstar; and 2 infant sisters, Clara Bess and Fannie Violet Morningstar. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Matheny Whited Funeral Home of Elizabeth, with the Rev. Mark McCloy officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday from 9 a.m. until time of service. Interment will be at Central Hill Cemetery in Elizabeth.
