Patrolman Joey Garrett

Grantsville policeman Joey Garrett of Normantown is moving on to a new position.

Garrett is resigning from the Grantsville Police Department on Jan. 14 to take a position with the Glenville Police Department, according to Mayor Curtis Garretson.

Garrett was hired as a Grantsville policemen in 2010, after graduating from Gilmer County High School and attending the criminal justice program at Calhoun Gilmer Career Center.

He completed training at the WV State Police Academy in April, 2011 with the 145th Basic Police Training Class at the WV State Police Academy in Institute.
