(05/28/2010)
Authorities have arrested a Calhoun couple for grand larceny, a felony, and charged another man for burning insured property, also a felony.

TFC J. E. Kincaid of the Grantsville detachment has charged Zachary Allen Wease, 19, of Five Forks, and Amber Lynn Huffman, 26, of Big Bend, with the grand larceny of four Alcoa wheels valued at about $2000.

The criminal complaint says the couple stole the wheels from Big Bend resident David Cain, after which they took them to a recycling center in Elizabeth, offering them for sale.

Larry Burton Sprouse, Jr., 27, of Brookpark Ohio was arrested by Sgt. O. S. Starsick for allegedly burning his vehicle.

The criminal complaint says Sprouse had reported his vehicle stolen, but it was then discovered on fire in a side hollow off Mud Lick Rd. near Mt. Zion.

The complaint says during the time period, Sprouse had reported his vehicle stolen to his insurance company.

The complaint indicates Sprouse admitted to having someone set the vehicle on fire after he wrecked it.

Sgt. Starsick, in the complaint, says he had been dealing with Sprouse over a domestic situation.
