ACCUSED KILLER OF FLANAGAN FAMILY WILL GO TO TRAIL AUGUST 23

Accused murderer Kirk Allen Miller appeared before Judge David W. Nibert this week in Calhoun Circuit Court for a pre-trial hearing related to the shooting deaths of Mike and Julie Flanagan on Easter weekend in 2009. Miller is scheduled to go to trial in Grantsville on August 23. Miller, according to the WV State Police, has admitted to committing the crimes, shooting the Flanagans at close range in their Sycamore Creek home. Police say the motive for the shooting was related to a conflict over drugs. James Keith Hardman was sentenced to 1-5 years in the state penitentiary in a sexual abuse case. Jackie McCumbers appeared before the court related to a plea agreement over burning insured property. He will return to court on June 28.
