UPDATED: RITCHIE STATE TROOPER RUSHED TO CAMDEN-CLARK - Officer Struck By Motorist Rt.47/53

11:00 PM - A West Virginia State Police Trooper was seriously injured during a traffic stop Saturday night when he was struck by another motorist.

Reports say the incident happened at the intersection of West Virginia 47 and Rt.53 in Ritchie County.

Police radios announced that an officer was down in Ritchie County.

No other information regarding the officer's name or condition is available.

10:00 PM - Parkersburg streets were cleared tonight by police with a police escort leading an ambulance to Camden-Clark Hospital.

The ambulance is transporting a West Virginia State policeman.

No information available about what happened to the officer or the nature of injuries.

The Wood County 911 center says it is a Ritchie County State Trooper.
