William H. "Bill" Stout , 76 - Glenville

William H. "Bill" Stout age 76 of Glenville, West Virginia, departed this life at 5:45 p.m. Tuesday, April 20, 2010 in United Hospital Center, Clarksburg, following a 48-hour illness.

He was born May 20, 1934 at St. Mary's, Pleasants County a son of the late William D. and Eufala Rexroad Stout.

Bill was a 1952 graduate of Glenville High School and attended Glenville State College until entering the armed forces where he was a paratrooper serving during the Korean Conflict in occupied Japan. He was a former engineer for Dowell Chemical, and partner in Reed-Stout Construction. He and his wife owned and operated Stouts True Value Hardware. He was most recently employed by Liquid Assets, Glenville. He was a good baseball player, former jockey at the Gilmer County Fair Horse Races and an avid football fan. He was a woodcrafter with many having pieces of furniture he made, he loved nothing more than fishing. He was a Baptist by faith.

On July 15, 1967 he was married to Eva Anderson Stout who survives at their Glenville home.

Also surviving are one son, Robert Norman of Glenville and 3 nieces, Rata Kay Miller, Heidi Bailey and Joyce Bailey all of Avon, Ohio.

In addition to his parents Bill was preceded in death by one sister, Rebecca Jo Bailey.

Funeral services will be conducted at 5:00 p.m., Friday, April 23, at Glenville First Baptist Church with Rev. Phil Shields officiating. Burial will follow in the Meadow Lane Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Church from 3:00-5:00 p.m. Friday.
