CRASH CAUSES HEAVY DAMAGE - Driver Cited For Failure To Maintain Control

Tim Parkin, 17, of Annamoriah was cited yesterday following an accident on Phillip's Run, south of Grantsville. Deputy Sheriff Carl Ballengee said the Parkin vehicle, a 1985 Chevy Camero, crashed into the rear of a 1988 Ford Ranger belonging to Jared Brewer of Grantsville. No reported injuries. Deputy Ballengee cited Parkin for failure to maintain control. Damage was extensive to the Parkin vehicle. State Police cited Parkin last Friday for going left of center, reportedly causing Grantsville residence Eugene Shaffer to veer off Route 5 at Annamoriah and crash into an old store building. Parkin pled no contest to that charge, according to the report.
