TEN ARMED ROBBERIES - A man arrested Monday for robbing a Raleigh County story allegedly told authorities he was involved in 10 armed robberies.

John Paul Thompson Jr. allegedly robbed the GameStop store in MacArthur, just off Interstate 77 south of Beckley, and police traced him from the scene, according to a news release from the Raleigh County Sheriff's Office.

While being interviewed, Thompson said he had been involved in 10 armed robberies in Raleigh, Summers and Mercer counties, according to the release.

MAN HOLDS-UP HUNTINGTON BANK THREE TIMES - A Peoples Bank branch in Huntington repeatedly targeted by the same robber is now limiting customer access to its lobby.

Customers can only access the lobby by appointment.

Stafford says the move will force most customer traffic to the bank's drive-through window.

Police say the same man robbed the bank branch on March 2, March 26 and April 17.

The man walked up to a teller, showed a gun and demanded money. He then fled on foot.

People's Bank is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
