Mary Jane Nicholas, 81 - Orma

Mary Jane Nicholas, 81, of Orma, West Virginia, passed away April 19, 2010 at her home following an extended illness.

She was born in Calhoun County a daughter of the late Reese and Plina Groves Bailey. She was a member of the Ebenezer Baptist Church at Orma.

Surviving are her children, Roger McCumbers and Regina Falls both of Ohio, Margaret Haynes and Donna Scott both of Spencer, Sibil Green of Charleston, George Nicholas of North Carolina, Druanna Carpenter of Russett, and Frederick Nicholas of Orma; 2 foster children, Robert Bailey of Spencer and Betty Martin of Missouri; her sisters, Iris Roberts of Ohio, Jesse Bailey and Diane Young both of Spencer, and Wanda Bailey of Parkersburg; 11 grandchildren; 7 step grandchildren; several great grandchildren; 6 nieces and 11 nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Earlie Nicholas; 1 daughter, Dola Dawn Nicholas; a son, Eric Glen Nicholas; 1 sister, Plina Coreen Hall; 3 brothers, Herbert Bailey, Joe Bailey and Bernice Bailey.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 21 at Stump Funeral Home in Arnoldsburg. Elder George Rose will officiate. Interment will be in the Orma United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
