Harry Oren Minney, 80 - Stumptown-Parkersburg

Harry Oren Minney, 80, of Stumptown and Parkersburg, West Virginia, passed away April 8, 2010 at his home in Parkersburg.

He was born at Stumptown, November 11, 1929, a son of the late Earl and Sylvia Campbell Minney.

He was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War and was a former employee of E.I. DuPont Company of Parkersburg. He had served as a Boy Scout leader in Parkersburg and enjoyed camping. He was a member of the Rush Run Baptist Church in Stumptown.

Surviving are his wife, Alma Smith Minney; daughter, Diane Huffman of Parkersburg; son, Preston Blaine Minney of Parkersburg; brother, Earl Ralph Minney of LaGrange Ohio; three sisters, Virgie Harris of Stumptown, Verla Simon of Medina Ohio, and Margurete Stump of Grantsville WV; three grandchildren, Brittany Marie Huffman, Cody Blaine Minney, and Meriah Dawn Minney, all of Parkersburg.

In addition to his parents her was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Brandy Denise Huffman of Parkersburg.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, April 12 at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville. Rev. John Vannoy will officiate. Interment will be in the Collins Cemetery at Stumptown.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
