ASTRONOMERS DESCENDING ON CALHOUN PARK

(04/02/2010)
The Calhoun County Park is known on the eastern seaboard as one of the darkest spots to view the universe through a telescope.

This weekend the park is hosting several astronomers from Michigan and Kentucky.

The park will be open for the public to come out and get a glimpse of the stars through their own telescopes.

During the day, special solar telescope will be aimed at solar flares.

An astronomer from Michigan will be at the park until Wednesday morning.

The Calhoun County Park is now registered with the Department of Tourism and the Fairs and Festivals project.
