Louis E. "Bub" Fields, 54 - Spencer

Louis E. "Bub" Fields, 54, of Spencer, West Virginia, died Thursday, March 18, 2010, from smoke inhalation during a fire at his home.

He was born September 15, 1955, at Walton, WV, a son of the late Cecil C. and Christine Craft Fields. He was a laborer and a handyman.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Pauline Osterhoudt and a brother, Glennis Fields.

Surviving relatives include his longtime companion, Tina Hamons, of Spencer; two sisters, Elizabeth "Betty" Harper of Spencer and Wanda Lee Moore of Salyersville, Kentucky; two brothers, Donald Fields of North Carolina and Winfred Fields of Spencer; six step-grandchildren; aunt, Irene Ferrell of Spencer; and 17 nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Sunday, March 21, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. in the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Jack Roberts officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Moriah Cemetery, Walton, WV.

Friends may call at the funeral home from noon until time of service on Sunday.
