The Dietary Department at Minnie Hamilton Health System has received the Golden Star of Excellence Award from the Mid-Ohio Valley Health Department. According to Mike Jackson, Sanitarian for MOVHD, this award is given when a facility goes a specified period of time without critical incidents, which are determined during his regular inspections.

The award reads, "The Golden Star Award is presented to Minnie Hamilton Health System who has shown outstanding compliance in the areas of food preparation, cleanliness, personal hygiene and temperature control." When asked, Mr. Jackson stated, "This means they did a very good job."

The Dietary staff at Minnie Hamilton is supervised by Molly Yoak. Her team includes Angie Robinson, Tammie Jones, Molly Davis, Barb Greathouse, Jessica Villers, Madeline Duskey, Jony Harding and Kerri Stull. Together they have over 39 years experience.

Currently three staff members are SafeServ certified with three more beginning the course. Testing is required to receive the certification. In 2009, the Minnie Hamilton dietary department served 63,750 meals.
