GRANTSVILLE POLICE CHIEF RESIGNS

Grantsville's Police Chief Charles Stephens is resigning to join the West Virginia Department of Natural Resources as an enforcement officer.

Stephens has served as the Grantsville chief for over 2 1/2 years.

Stephens says he will be leaving about March 15, but will continue to work "cleaning up old cases."

He intends to remain a resident of the county.

Stephens was recently elected chairperson of Calhoun's E-911 Advisory Council.
