Before I go into anything, I would like to send out my sincerest sympathy to the Luther family. We knew Wayne when our kids played ball together. I don't believe I have ever seen a more enthusiastic baseball coach/dad. We will remember him fondly. I hope everyone will treat this tragedy with extreme sensitivity and please respect the family's wishes during this time.

Well, I've had enough snow and snow days to last the rest of my life. The children have missed far too much school and more importantly, nearly drove me to insanity. (Well, I wasn't really far from it anyway, but they led me a little closer) Also, with all the temperature changes, my driveway doesn't know whether to hold a mud bog or Olympic ice skating. We would like to thank the DOH for plowing our road. You have no idea how much we appreciate it. It made us feel like we mattered to the county. Thanks!

Have you been watching Idol? I have turned into the annual "Idol Junkie". It won't be permanent, just a couple months worth of idiocy. I am not real impressed so far. My two favorite contestants, Casey and Lee, I thought were pretty good. I did think it was kind of pathetic the way Kara was gushing over Casey in front of millions of viewers. It got even worse when her husband had to sit in the audience to baby-sit her. But, we will see who takes over the Idol crown or the Idol curse whichever it may be.

Have you seen the programs, "Shear Genius" or "Tabitha's Salon Takeover"? Wow, I don't know if I can describe those shows in words. (Or at least ones that won't be censored) While I appreciate the fact these stylists/judges have all this experience, know all the ingredients of hair products and make a client's hair beg for mercy, still doesn't make them geniuses. Tabitha seems to think she rules the world. I guarantee I could put my mom in a stylist apron and she could put the fear of God into salon staff as well as Tabitha if not better during a salon takeover. However, my mom would never belittle someone like Tabitha has a habit of doing. You really need to watch an episode to get the full Tabitha effect.

We need to send out some March birthday wishes in case I forget them next week. So, happy birthday to, my brother Mike, Avery, C.R., Diana, Brian and Aunt Mary. I hope you all have much happiness on your special day. If you would like to submit any birthdays, just email me or give me a call.

T-Ball sign-ups are coming up soon. They are March 13th at the Pennsboro Fire Hall from 11 a.m. to noon. You may contact Tom Riggs for additional information.

We would like to announce a Longaberger Bingo scheduled for March 19th that will be used to support our county wrestlers. You can purchase a ticket from me or any mat club member or any wrestler mom/dad.

My song choice of the week is, "Didn't You Know" by Kelli Pickler. I really like her because she always stays true to herself. You are who you are, and others can deal with it or don't deal with it. Life is too short to worry about what everybody else thinks.

Peace.
