| Perry G. Mathess, 74 of Mineral Wells, West Virginia, passed away at St. Joseph's Hospital, Parkersburg after a short illness.
He was born May 23, 1935 the son of the late Harvey and Mary (Roberts) Mathess.
Perry enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his 2 children Becki (Travis) Dye of Big Springs WV, and Dan (Julie) Mathess of Fairmont WV; 4 grandchildren, Jewell and Zane Dye of Big Springs, and Hunter and Cole Mathess of Fairmont; 2 brothers Gearold (Thelma) Mathess of Parkersburg WV, and Arnold (Norma) Mathess of Canton Ohio; 1 sister, Mae (Ken) Thompson of Elizabeth WV; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday March 4 at Matheny Whited Funeral Home of Elizabeth with Rev. Melvin Boggs officiating.
Visitation will be Wednesday March 3 from 6-8 p.m. and Thursday from noon until time of the service.
Burial will be in Hartley Cemetery at a later date.
