CALHOUN COULD HAVE 9-16 INCHES OF SNOW ON GROUND

The National Weather Service in Charleston has issued a Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow which is in effect until 10 a.m. Saturday.

Calhoun could have between 9-16 inches of snow on the ground.

Snow will continue overnight into Saturday morning. A few inches of snow has already accumulated since nightfall with another 2 to 3 inches of snow likely from midnight through 10 a.m. Saturday for an expected total of 4 to 7 inches.

Snow is in the forecast for several days, and the total snowfall will increase.

Parts of WV have declared a snow emergency, with very heavy, blizzard snowfall.
