CALHOUN PARK FUND-RAISING EFFORT - ''Support Your Park''

(03/09/2010)
Submitted by Henry Cooper

The Calhoun County Park Commission has selected the month of March as the primary fund raising period for the Park.

During this month, letters will be sent to local businesses and organizations requesting donations for assistance in the upkeep and further development of the Park. The Park Commission is also asking for donations from individuals through this notice.

Funds will be used for the further development of the Kitty Wilson Campground, the completion of placing vinyl siding on the Herb Smith Community Building, the renovation and upgrading of the Park's ponds, and other projects.

Covering the expenses of maintenance for park facilities and equipment is difficult and all general contributions are helpful.

Since the Park is a county-owned operation, contributions are tax deductible. The Park Commission expresses its appreciation for all monetary support.

Donations can be sent to:

The Calhoun County Park
P.O. Box 276
Grantsville, WV 26147

Make Checks payable to: Calhoun County Park
