| Geneva Gertrude Shreve, 92, of Spencer, West Virginia, died February 20, 2010 at Roane General Hospital, Spencer.
She was born April 30, 1917 a daughter of the late Clee and Ola Gertrude Short Allen. She was a retired employee of Spencer State Hospital.
She is survived by three daughters, Virginia Pursley and Linda Starcher both of Spencer, and Monica Matheny of Madisonville Kentucky; five sons, James Shreve of Butler Missouri, John Shreve of Norton Ohio, Bill Shreve and Tom Wilson both of Spencer, and Tim Wilson of Leroy West Virginia; three half sisters, Goldie Lukawecz, Eunice Moore and Nella Gribble; two half brothers, Ivan "Buck" Allen and Averill Allen; 27 grandchildren; 55 great grandchildren; and 15 great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two husbands, James "Hank" Shreve and James Rogers; one daughter, Leona Faye Hall; and a half brother Marvin Allen.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 24 at Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home in Spencer, with Rev. James Epling officiating. Burial will be in the Greathouse Cemetery, Spencer.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
