LATEST WINTER STORM WATCH FOR REGION

(02/13/2010)
The National Weather Service in Charleston has issued a Winter Storm Watch which is in effect from late Sunday night through late Monday night.

A potent low pressure system will cross late Sunday night through Monday producing a steady accumulating snow.

Wind-blown snow showers will continue through Monday night behind the system as colder air rushes in.

A total of 6 to 8 inches of snow is possible by Tuesday morning with some locally higher totals.

A Winter Storm Watch means there is a potential for significant snow accumulations that may impact travel.

Continue to monitor the latest forecasts. If the threat of significant snow accumulation increases...winter storm warnings will be issued.
