PHOTOS DURING WORLD WAR II GRANTSVILLE - Town Was In It's Heyday

(11/07/2025)
The Town of Grantsville was in its heyday in the 1940's, sacrificing for World War II, with a vital business, church and civic community, the big event was the construction of the new courthouse.

High school student David Hathaway, now deceased, with his camera recorded the life and times of the town. Many of his photos will be placed on the Herald in months to come.

His snapshots are of a time when the world moved slowly, people were connected and community was a place to be held high.
