Christopher Wayne Bowling, 37, was being held at Southern Regional Jail.

Tresa Carol Bowling, 34, was shot in Daniels around 11:30 p.m. last Sunday, according to sheriff's Sgt. Larry Lilly. She died at Beckley Appalachian Regional Hospital.

The alleged motive is under investigation.

The shooting happened at Pickens' home, where he and his cousin, 29-year-old Joshua Sprouse of Mineral Wells believed someone was messing around the property, according to the police report.

At some point, Sprouse was accidentally shot. He is listed in severe condition at a local hospital.

GUN THREAT - Elkins Police have arrested a man accused of threatening another man with a loaded gun.

They have charged Orlandis Pokey Funderburke, 31, with malicious assault, brandishing a firearm, and being a felon in possession of a firearm, says a criminal complaint.

Brandon Meadows was struck with Funderburke's gun, in an incident that appeared to be related to a woman.

After Funderburke and Meadows exchanged words, the court documents say, Funderburke pulled a black handgun from his waistband, cocked it, and pointed it at Meadows forehead.

Funderburke told Meadows he would "spray his brains out."

He then hit Meadows in the face twice with the gun, according to the complaint.

Meadows was taken to the hospital.

Police found that Funderburke had also been convicted of possessing a firearm in 1994.
