(02/04/2010)
The Calhoun Commission will be setting dates for drawing up a county budget in March, facing several financial hurdles for 2010-11.

The commission will meet at 9 a.m. Tuesday.

The commission will be reviewing revisions from the County Clerk's office and from Sheriff Allen Parsons. Parson's request is to reduce Deputy Jeff Starcher from full-time to part-time.

Part of the meeting will be to review items related to the holding of the May 11th election.

The commission will review a request from Richard Morris concerning delinquent taxes.

The commission is expected to review applications for the Deputy Sheriff's Civil Service Board.

Other items on the agenda include committee reports and to review commission assignments to local and regional boards.
