Victor G. Perkins, 73 - Buckhannon

Victor G. Perkins, age 73 of Buckhannon, West Virginia departed this life at 11:20 p.m. Monday January 18, 2010 in the Holbrook Nursing home following an extended illness. He was born September 4, 1936 in Braxton County, a son of the late W. G. "Bill" and Clara Rose Perkins. Vic enjoyed the outdoors with special emphasis on hunting and fishing. He was also a Methodist by faith. Victor was united in marriage to Brenda Benson who preceded him in death in 1999. He is survived by 1 daughter, Dannette Perkins of Buckhannon; several nieces, nephews, and friend Iva Curtis and her family. Mr. Perkins is the last of his immediate family being preceded in death by 4 brothers, Dennis, Jim, Gene, and Richard, Perkins; 2 sisters, Genieve Perkins and Ora Frame. Funeral services were conducted January 21 with Pastor Bryan Groves officiating. Burial followed in the Fairview Cemetery, Chapel WV. Ellyson Mortuary Inc. is assisting the family of Victor Perkins with arrangements.
