GLENVILLE TEACHER ARRESTED FOR PETIT LARCENY FROM CONCESSION STAND

(01/21/2010)
A Gilmer County High School teacher has been arrested on multiple counts of petit larceny, being charged with stealing from concessions at school events.

Sr. Trooper M. S. Summers filed the misdemeanor charges January 14 against Janice Anne Collins, 62, of Glenville, stating the value of the alledged theft was less than $1000.

Collins was arrested following a complaint filed by school principal Nasia Butcher, stating that Collins was caught on a survelience camera removing cash from a money bag and placing it in her pocket.

The complaint says the teacher was working at a concession stand during ball games.
