Tyler Sims Shooting free throws against Ritchie

By Mike Sims

Calhoun Middle School Boys Basketball team traveled to Ellenboro to take on the Ritchie County Trailblazers, January 11. This was the first time Coaches Sims and Baker had seen the entire team since December 17, because of school closings due to the snow storms.

Still the boys came to play and didn't disappoint their fans.

In the seventh grade game Calhoun played even with the Trailblazers for three quarters but were their own worst enemy in the fourth as they had several unforced turnovers and missed several easy shots in the paint.
