Five Glenville State College Lady Pioneers scored in double-figures with Donita Adams pacing the team with a game high 26-points.

Their 5-1 conference, 7-3 overall record puts them at the No. 1 spot in the WVIAC.

The Lady Pioneers controlled the court, but not decisively. Wheeling Jesuit led only twice, near the beginning and end of first period.

GSC racked up as much as a 12-point lead but couldn't shake the Cardinals persistent effort.

Suzi Harvey (34) is a picture of calm on the court, no
matter how tough it gets. These two points came after she
was smacked in the head while securing the offensive rebound.

In the second half, aided by the shooting accuracy of Adams (30), Ginnie Petties (32) and Suzi Harvey (34) Glenville jumped to a 16-point lead late in the game.

Then in a repeat of the first half, in just three very short minutes, with just over 2 minutes till the buzzer the score stood at 90-85.

Glenville held on to seal the victory 99-87.

Adams shot 62-percent from the floor, hit 3 of 6 three pointers and was perfect at the free-throw line for her 26-points.
