CRJ OFFICER ARRESTED FOR DELIVERING TOBACCO TO INMATE

State Police are saying they have arrested a Central Regional Jail corrections officer at Flatwoods, following an investigation that the officer delivered tobacco to an inmate. The officer, Sherry Lee Butcher, confessed to the tobacco delivery, turned herself in to the State Police in Sutton and resigned from the position. Butcher reportedly delivered tobacco to the inmate last October.
