SCHOOL BOARD AND CALHOUN COMMISSION MEETS MONDAY

The Calhoun Board of Education will meet Monday at 6 p.m. at the Board Office at Mt. Zion. A few of the items on the agenda, American Red Cross/Americorp - Terri Flesher and Bobbi Allen and enforcing the underage drinking grant application - Shari Johnson. A number of employment items are also listed. The next regular meeting is February 8 at 6 p.m. at the Calhoun Board of Education Office. The Calhoun Commission meets at 9 a.m. Monday to elect a commission president for 2010, review the budget, and set dates for Board of Equalization meetings in February. The Commission will discuss election items and hear committee reports. The commission is looking for individuals to serve on the Calhoun County Deputy Sheriff Civil Service Board.
