CALHOUN CITIZENS NEED TO UPDATE VOTER INFORMATION - Residents Who Receive Cards Need To Return Them

(02/17/2010)
A number of Calhoun residences will be receiving a card in the mail from the Calhoun County Clerk's Office.

The clerk's office is required every two years to send the cards to residences whose addresses are different in the voter registration program as compared to the actual US Postal Service addresses.

Those who have not voted or updated their registration in the last two presidential elections will receive a card.

Responses to the card are very important.

The responses will help correct addresses on the voter registration program.

The responses will also help citizens with future voting.

The clerk's office will also be sending out new voter cards with the new E-911 addresses.

The return of the cards are very important for citizens who desire to be registered voters.

If there are any questions about this information or the cards, please call the County Clerk's office at 304-354-6725 and ask for Amanda Oldham.

INFORMATION ON THE CARD:

Have you Moved? - Please reply today!

We have information that your address has changed. If you do not complete or return this card or vote in any election between now and the second general election after this notice, your voter registration will be canceled.

• If your address on the mail label is correct, sign & return the attached card.

• If you have moved to another address in this county, enter your correct address, sign and return as soon as possible. Your registration will be updated. If you do not update your registration at least thirty (30) days before the next election, you may vote a challenged ballot at your new precinct and update your registration at that time.

• If you have moved outside this county, return the card to cancel your registration. You may register at your new address in person at the local registration office, by mail, or at a state office which provides voter registration services. After you register, you will be notified about your registration status.
