Rev. Dairus Arnold, 74 - Nebo

Rev. Dairus Arnold, 74, of Nebo, West Virginia is now at rest and awaiting the second coming of Jesus Christ after 43 years in God's service.

He passed away the morning of December 22, 2009 at home.

Born August 12, 1935 he was the son the late William Granville "W.G." and Millie Deal Arnold.

In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by his only sister, Genevieve Cooper.

Dairus was pastor of O'Brion Advent Christian Church for over 35 years, President of the 4th district WV Advent Christian Conference, retired school bus driver, member of Linden Lodge #83 AF&AM and assistant chief of Big Otter Fire Dept.

Dairus is survived by his wife of 55 years Libby Arnold of Nebo, son, James (Mike) and wife Abi of Canby, Oregon, daughter, Kathy Murphy of Clay. He leaves behind 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at Wilson-Shamblin-Smith Funeral Home, Clay, with Minister Terry Johnson and Rev. James Balser officiating.

Burial will be in Coen Cemetery, Chloe.
