CLAY MAN STABS WIFE IN NECK - Spencer Foot Chase Catches Keener

A Clay County man has been arrested after allegedly attacking his estranged wife. Rocky Allen Keener, 36, broke into his estranged wife's house and stabbed her in the neck while she slept, according to police. Keener then fled the scene in a vehicle and led police on a foot chase in Roane County. Roane County scanner listeners heard much of the foot chase around the City of Spencer. Once he was caught, he was arrested and charged with burglary, malicious wounding, domestic battery and domestic assault, according to the State Police. Erica Keener was airlifted to CAMC General Hospital for treatment, a report on her condition was not available.
