FLASHBACK 18 YEARS: CALHOUN'S VERY FIRST BANK ROBBERY IN 2008

By Bob Weaver Eighteen years have gone by since Calhoun County experienced its' very first bank robbery in 2008. Bank robberies happen in others places, causing news flashes, but not in our quiet neighborhood. The culprits were caught. In fact, nearly always bank robbers are caught. Then a second one happened at the same Arnoldsburg bank in 2010. In a second Calhoun bank robbery in 2010, Richard Vance, then 22, was caught and incarcerated. Since the two hold-ups at Calhoun Bank's Arnoldsburg location, the bank has installed high-tech access equipment which makes it very difficult for would be robbers.
