Other vehicle involved in crash lands against guardrail

Two people received injuries in a two-vehicle collision this morning at 8:30 a.m. on Rt. 16, south of Chloe near the Walker Rd. intersection.

Upper West Fork firemen extracted Catherine Jurkovich of Arnoldsburg Road, Spencer from one vehicle, and she was taken to Charleston Area Medical Center by Calhoun EMS.

Richard Harrison, in the other vehicle, was taken to Minnie Hamilton Health System.

Deputy Carl Ballengee was investigating the cause of the wreck.

The extent of the injuries are unknown, but sources at the scene indicated they did not believe they were critical.

Traffic was backed-up on Rt. 16 for about one hour.
