The Lions Club, one of Calhoun's hardest working and helpful civic organizations,
often recognized for their eyeglass project, voted last week to donate $330 to help
with Calhoun's summer 4-H Camp. They also agreed to sponsor a student to American
Legion Boy's State.
President Ray Lahie gave an overview of last week's zone meeting in Harrisville,
attend by Lahie, Jim McCormick and Denver Taylor. The group also removed
Grantsville's Christmas lights.
Richard Kirby provided the evening meal at the club house. Attending, Curtis Gregory,
Denver Taylor, Ray Lahie, Richard Kirby, Jim Garretson, Tom Gainer, Bob Bonar, Henry
Cooper and Denzil Dye.
