Automatic doors create easier access for
patients and assist with infection control

New automatic doors have been installed at Minnie Hamilton Health System in Grantsville.

The Friends of Minnie Hamilton presented a check for $5,000 to assist with the cost of the purchase and installation of the new front entrance doors in November.

The Friends of Minnie Hamilton are a volunteer organization providing support to Minnie Hamilton Health System staff and patients.

Friends of Minnie Hamilton participate in many projects including: supporting activities of the Long-Term Care unit with bingo, memorial service and annual Halloween party; operating the Sunshine Corner Gift Shop; they provide stuffed animals for children being treated in the Emergency Room; they donate scholarship funds for students involved in or going into a medical field; they sponsor the annual Dove Tree project; and they purchase items for the betterment of Minnie Hamilton Health System.

The organization holds meetings every 2nd Tuesday of each month at 10:00 a.m. in the Education Room at Minnie Hamilton Health System. Membership is open to all persons eighteen years of age and above who are interested in providing support services to Minnie Hamilton Health System or its affiliations. Friends of Minnie Hamilton does not discriminate by race, color, national origin, sex, disability or religion.
