BECKLEY BANK HEIST - The Chase Bank in Beckley was robbed in broad daylight on Thursday.

A man came into the bank at about 1 p.m. and handed the teller a note claiming he had a gun and got away with an undisclosed amount of money.

Police have issued a photo of the man on state media.

CLOWN ROBS PRESTON BAR - Police in Preston County have arrested a man for robbing a Masontown bar using a clown mask.

Steven Dewitt admitted to tying up the bartender at Soccorsi's bar and robbing her at gunpoint.

Investigators found the mask Dewitt used. He will be standing trial.

TEEN STABBED IN CROSS LANES - Deputies are looking for suspects in the late Tuesday night stabbing of a 17-year-old boy.

When police arrived, they discovered the boy had been cut on the leg.

LATE NIGHT SHOOTING - A Mercer County man is incarcerated in connection with a late night shooting in Montcalm.

Damien Lusk, 30, is charged with one count of malicious wounding in connection with the Wednesday shooting.

Jerome Allen, 36, of Montcalm, was shot once in his arm, and once in the abdomen, following an argument between the two men.

WHEELING LOOKING FOR ATTACKER - A man stabbed in downtown Wheeling is helping investigators search for his alleged attacker.

Sterling Wright, 40, was released from the Ohio Valley Medical Center after being stabbed, Monday on the 1400 block of Market Street.

Gardner Deegen, 47, is being sought by Wheeling police for the incident.

Deegen is no stranger to the Wheeling Police Department, having been arrested several times.

Wright reportedly suffered a knife wound to his left arm.

Deegen is also accused of cutting off a lock of Wright's hair.
