SUPPORT 'KACY'S TOY CHEST' ANNUAL DRIVE

(12/01/2014)

Kacy's Sky Divin' And Rocky Mountain Climbin'

It's that time of year again - for collecting toys for Kacy's Toy Chest. Kacy's Toy Chest gives toys to Cystic Fibrosis children and their siblings during clinical exams at Ruby Memorial Hospital. The toy chest was set up as a way to remember Kacy Harris who passed away in 2004 from Cystic Fibrosis.

Needed are new, unused toys in all age ranges remembering teenagers also. Donations are needed by the second week in December. Anyone that would like to donate a gift card, cash or a new unwrapped toy for Kacy Harris' toy chest please contact Alicia Swearingen at 304-514-1756.

In addition to the Christmas season, items and donations are also collected and taken to the hospital several times throughout the year.

The Center would appreciate gift cards and cash so when they run low on items, they can purchase needed items at that time.

These items will be taken directly to the hospital and put in the clinic which has donated an area to honor Kacy Harris who passed away in September 2004, after a lifelong battle with Cystic Fibrosis. Kacy was the daughter of Kathy and Bernard Harris and the sister of Alisha Swearingen.

Anyone that wishes to go in the hospital and see the area in the clinic that has been named in memory of Kacy, please feel free to do so.

The toy chest is open every day to the critically ill children that are patients in the hospital or are there for an appointment with a doctor.
