Hilah C. Starcher, 90, formerly of Elizabeth, died February 23, 2002, at Arcadia Nursing Center, Coolville, Ohio.

She was born July 10, 1911, in Creston, Wirt County, WV a daughter of the late Homer C. and Grace M. McGinnis Starcher. She was a lifelong resident of Wirt County, attended the Burning Springs United Methodist Church and was a homemaker.

She is survived by one sister, Hazel C. Sheppard of Palestine, WV; five nieces; and one nephew.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Roscoe, R. Clinton and C. Dale Starcher; and one sister, Hilma Bush.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday at Busch Funeral Home, Elizabeth, the Rev. Gladson Grim officiating. Burial in Knights of Pythias Cemetery. Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday and until time of services Monday at the funeral home.
