Student of the Year, Anthony Frye and Linda Jones, GED instructor
The local Adult Basic Education Program is celebrating the success of a former graduate.
Anthony Frye of Gilmer County received his GED in May 2009. Following completion of his degree, he was nominated for ABE Student of the Year on a statewide level.
"We are pleased to announce that he was recently chosen from a large pool of candidates for this award," said GED instructor Linda Jones.
Anthony was honored at the annual Adult Basic Education conference at Stonewall Jackson on October 28th during the GED Achievement Banquet.
