ANN A CREEL - Parkersburg

Ann A. Creel, 76, of Parkersburg, WV died February 22, 2002, at St. Joseph's Hospital.

She was born August 15, 1925, in Grantsville, a daughter of the late Clarence and Bertha Glover Armstrong.

She retired in 1994 from Corning Glass after 49 years with the company. She was a former Den Mother with the Cub Scouts and loved doing crafts, especially knitting. She was a lifelong member of Stephenson United Methodist Church.

Surviving are one son, Gregory W. Creel and his wife Merrell of Parkersburg; one daughter, Karen C. Dillon and her husband David of Parkersburg; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several good friends and neighbors on Bird Street.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald L. Creel; one brother, Frank Armstong; and one sister, Betty Hamrick.

A private memorial service will be held at Stephenson United Methodist Church at the convenience of the family.

Special thanks is given to Pam Parsons, Patty Halstead, and Ann's sister, Jane Harrell, for the exceptional personal care they gave to Ann.

The cremation was handled by Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Green Street, Parkersburg.
