Morgantown High School student, Misty Cricks, 17, died Sunday afternoon as doctors treated her for the H1N1 swine flu virus.

Cricks had another condition that weakened her immune system.

She was hospitalized more than a week ago.

Morgantown High issued a statement:

"It's devastating to lose a child. (Misty) was an important part of the school and will be sadly missed by the entire school community. Their thoughts and prayers go out to her family. She was remembered with a moment of silence yesterday," said Principal Robert DeSantis.

Cricks' death was the third WV school student to die from Swine Flu.
