Delores Virginia White Lowers, 81 - Spencer

Delores Virginia White Lowers, 81, of Spencer, West Vurginia died October 19, 2009 at her home after a brief illness. She was born October 24, 1927 in Bomont, WV a daughter of the late Albert and Opal Jenkins White. She was retired from Kellwood Company with over 40 years service and previously worked at the Spencer State Hospital.. She attended the Clover Community Church. She is survived by one daughter, Karen Bateman of Spencer: two granddaughters, Misty Bateman and Mellisa Alvis, both of Spencer; one sister, Margaret Sims of Princeton, Texas; two nieces, Pat Wayne of Spencer and Tina Lemon of Marshallville, Ohio; five great-grandchildren; and several grand nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceeded in death by her husband, Ralph V. Lowers; her step-mother, Myrtle Funk White; and a sister, Betty Deel. Service was 1 p.m. Wednesday, October 22, 2009 at the Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home in Spencer, with the Rev. Danny Whited officiating. Burial was in the Clover Cemetary.
