Larry Joe Brown, 61 - Ocala, Florida (10/20/2009) Larry Joe Brown, 61, of Ocala, Florida, died Saturday, October 17, 2009, in the West Marion Community Hospital, Ocala. He was born Saturday, March 27, 1948, at O’Brien, Clay County, West Virginia, a son of the late Orba Lee and Myrtle Grose Brown. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Glen and Williard Brown; one grandson, Christian Cubbedge. Mr. Brown was a 23 year resident of Florida, a former coal miner and a self employed carpenter. Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Angelia and Bruce Cubbedge of Hilliard, Fla.; three grandsons, Graylin, Dean and Adam Cubbedge; the mother of his child, Judy Brown of Hilliard; a devoted friend, Jean McGrail of Ocala; one sister, Patty Brown of Wallback; one brother, James Brown of Hartland. A funeral service will be conducted Thursday, October 22 at 11:00 a.m. in the Maysel Community Church, Maysel, with Pastor Bruce Cubbedge officiating. Burial will be in the Sunset Cemetery, Bickmore, Clay County. Friends may call Thursday thirty minutes prior to the service at the church. John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, is in charge of arrangements.
