HARRISVILLE MAN DIES IN RITCHIE CRASH

A Harrisville man has died in an auto accident in Ritchie County. Reports say Daniel Bennett, 22, of Parkersburg, was crossing Route 50 in his 1992 extended cab Ford Ranger, when he was t-boned by David Fisher, 23, of Sandyville. The impact killed Bennett's passenger, Dustin Smith, 24, of Harrisville. A police report says Bennett's license is revoked for driving under the influence. WBOY-TV reports Bennett was taken to a hospital in Parkersburg, before being transferred to a Charleston hospital, where he remained unconscious as of Monday afternoon. Fisher also went to Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital in Parkersburg to be treated for head injuries.
