STATE HIGHWAY PREP-WORK STARTS MONDAY

The West Virginia Division of Highways announces that preliminary work for a planned resurfacing project on WV 16 will begin on Monday, October 12, according to Michael Foley, Construction Engineer.

The resurfacing project on WV 16 begins at the junction of US 33 (?) and ends two-tenths of a mile north of the junction of Calhoun County Route 16/19, Middle Fork Road, likely Daniels Run.

Crews from J. F. Allen Contracting will be working between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Over the next three weeks the contractor will be performing preliminary work for an anticipated paving project in the Spring, 2010.

Motorists are expected to follow the direction of all work zone signs and pilot truck. Delays should be expected. Motorists are encouraged to allow additional time for their commute or use alternate routes if possible.
